We are looking to hire an Application Support Specialist in Singapore to provide support on Java / J2EE based applications for our client which is a top global investment bank.
Your background
- Expert in Application Lifecycle Management and Enhancements, L3 Support or Production Support Services for local and regional applications.
- In-depth exposure to Risk, Incident, Change & Problem Management and Audit.
- Should have hands on 4 - 6 years of experience in development and support of Enterprise Web Based Internet/Intranet, Multi-tier distributed applications using latest J2EE technologies and various open source frameworks.
- Experience in databases such as Oracle /9i and MS SQL Server to manage Tables, Views, Indexes, Sequences, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers and Packages.
- Experience in SDLC Tools GIT, Bit Bucket & deployment tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Ansible.
- Experience in Application software or infrastructure upgrades.
- Good knowledge of cash management systems [Payments & Receivables] to provide inputs for various strategic/tactical decisions during application design governance meetings.

What you will do
- Perform Application Management function within the technology environment for a set of in country and regional applications which are vendor based.
- Lead the support functions of risk management, access management, Business continuity planning, continuous Integration and continuous development, Non Permitted technology remediation, application governance across different set of applications for multiple GTS APAC applications.
- Lead Vendors & Business Production services to minimize impact to business with quality delivery of Incident/problems fixes during major Priority 1/2 /3 issues.
- Responsible for instructing, directing, and making sure all deliverables for the application are met within timeline for Information security and P1/P2/P3 SLAs where development is required.
- Effectively communicate problem status to senior management. Plans, prepares for, and effectively facilitates team meetings and presentation.
- Lead and engage relevant business and technology teams to resolve application risks associated with Information Security, technology audit and regulatory findings or problems within the application/s.
- Manage and deliver Non Permitted Technology Remediation Program on requirement basis for the applications.
- Support project go-live on need basis.
- Facilitate responses for the country specific audit requirements.
- Be the in country application/s scrum lead for BAU activities.
- Ensure commitment from all stakeholders, escalate resourcing constraints or priority conflicts to senior management.
- Manage Vendor contracts/SOW, Risk, Cost, people & quality.
- Accountable for leading Application Strategy by working closely with Architecture team with key focus on application rationalization
- Provides training and technical assistance to more junior associates/contractors.
- Works independently, with limited direction, and is focused on end results
