Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, and enhance Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications and system components
- Provide 24/7 Level 1 & Level 2 support to ensure smooth operation of production lines
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to improve system performance and availability
- Gather user requirements and develop new automation solutions, particularly for Equipment Manager systems
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for system enhancements and processes
- Plan and conduct user training for assigned applications
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including productivity enhancements and cost reduction projects
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Semiconductor, Manufacturing, or High-Tech production environments
- Experience in supporting factory automation or manufacturing systems
- Proficiency in SQL (Oracle preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Knowledge of SECS/GEM (SEMI Equipment Communication Standards)
- Familiarity with TIBCO (TIB/RV) messaging systems
- Experience in equipment or factory automation systems
- Prior experience in a semiconductor fab environment is an advantage
Work Environment:
- On-site role in a high-technology manufacturing facility
- May require after-hours or on-call support to support production operations
