Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Application Support Engineer with advanced expertise in Java, PL/SQL, and AWS to support mission-critical enterprise applications. The role involves production support, troubleshooting complex issues, system monitoring, and ensuring application stability and performance in a cloud-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise applications built using Java-based technologies.
- Diagnose and resolve complex application, database, and integration issues in a timely manner.
- Write and optimize advanced PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Monitor applications hosted on AWS cloud infrastructure and ensure high availability.
- Perform incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem management.
- Work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to resolve production issues.
- Support application deployments, release management, and environment configuration.
- Monitor system health using logging, monitoring, and alerting tools.
- Ensure compliance with SLA, incident response time, and service delivery standards.
- Maintain documentation for support procedures, known issues, and resolutions.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE technologies.
- Advanced PL/SQL expertise including query optimization and database performance tuning.
- Solid experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.).
- Experience in production support and incident management processes.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar).
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting microservices architecture and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or ELK.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or enterprise systems is a plus.
- Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
