Application Support Engineer (Commodities)

A multi-strategy hedge fund is hiring an Application Support Engineer to join its growing Commodities Technology team. This group supports the full suite of tools used by commodities portfolio managers, including trading, analytics, and risk platforms. The role combines technical problem-solving with direct exposure to front-office users.

What this role offers:

• L2/L3 ownership of production systems across trading, risk, market data, and analytics platforms
• Daily collaboration with portfolio managers and traders, supporting real-time decision-making
• Work across a broad tech stack: Python, UNIX/shell scripting, SQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS
• Help drive system stability and automation, improving observability and incident response workflows
• Contribute to a global team supporting high-uptime systems across regions and time zones
