We are seeking an Application Support Engineer (Level 2) to ensure the availability, stability, and performance of critical business applications. The role provides second-level technical support, works closely with Level 1 support and development teams, and supports incident resolution, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide Level 2 application support, handling escalated incidents and resolving issues within SLA.
Troubleshoot application and database issues using Java, SQL, MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
Support applications running on UNIX/Linux systems, including shell scripting for automation, monitoring, and log analysis.
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot AWS Cloud services (EC2, RDS, S3).
Collaborate with development teams on defects, enhancements, and code-related issues.
Follow IT Service Management (ITSM/ITIL) processes for incident, problem, and change management.
Document support procedures and troubleshooting guides to support knowledge sharing.
Participate in on-call support when required.
Minimum 2 years of experience supporting REST API services.
Minimum 2 years of experience with Java frameworks (J2EE, EJB, Spring, Microservices).
Minimum 2 years of application support experience.
Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services.
Strong working knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems and shell scripting.
Knowledge of ITSM / ITIL practices.
