Application Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Manager to provide technical leadership and pre-sales support for mission-critical cooling and data center infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will evaluate customer requirements, develop technical solutions, support bids and proposals, and coordinate with sales, engineering, project, and manufacturing teams. This role requires strong knowledge of HVAC, precision cooling, chilled water systems, and data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, tender requirements, drawings, and project documentation.

• Develop optimized cooling solutions based on technical, operational, and commercial requirements.

• Prepare technical proposals, compliance matrices, equipment selections, and tender documentation.

• Review cooling-load calculations, system designs, and product configurations.

• Provide technical guidance on precision cooling, chilled water, liquid cooling, air handling, and airflow management solutions.

• Support sales meetings, product presentations, technical workshops, and customer discussions.

• Act as the main technical contact during the bid and proposal stage.

• Coordinate with regional engineering, manufacturing, project, and service teams.

• Support project handover from sales to execution and assist with technical issue resolution.

• Engage with consultants, data center operators, end users, M&E contractors, and EPC contractors.

• Monitor industry trends, emerging cooling technologies, and competitor solutions.

• Provide technical coaching and guidance to application engineers where applicable.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, HVAC Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least five years of relevant experience in HVAC, precision cooling, chiller systems, data center infrastructure, or critical facilities engineering.

• Strong understanding of cooling technologies, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and system design.

• Experience reviewing technical specifications, engineering drawings, and tender documentation.

• Ability to translate technical requirements into practical and commercially viable solutions.

• Strong customer-facing, presentation, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience coordinating across sales, engineering, factories, projects, and service teams.

Preferred Experience

• CRAC/CRAH systems, chilled water systems, air handling units, and BMS integration.

• Liquid cooling technologies, including direct-to-chip or CDU-based solutions.

• Hyperscale, colocation, edge, or other mission-critical data center projects.

• Equipment selection, cooling-load calculations, compliance review, and value engineering.

• Knowledge of relevant data center design practices and energy-efficiency requirements.
