The Manager, Asia Order Management System will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of Order Management Omnichannel Solutions.
This role requires expertise in the IBM Sterling Order Management Application Suite and the ability to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, effective communication, and hands-on experience in a consultative role with product and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop solutions within the IBM Sterling Order Management Suite of Applications.
- Evaluate, design, scope, and document integration efforts for new products, technologies, processes, and solutions.
- Diagnose complex technical and business problems and provide effective, creative solutions.
- Design and maintain detailed technical architecture documentation across a multi-brand, multi-region omnichannel environment.
- Collaborate closely with global IT teams and external consultants.
- Conduct impact analyses across enterprise systems and third-party solutions, providing high-level cost and effort estimates for major initiatives.
- Develop technical implementation plans and timelines in collaboration with engineering stakeholders, aligned with enterprise standards.
- Align platform vision and overall roadmap with the technical requirements of the stack.
- Communicate technical requirements, limitations, and recommendations clearly and effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in architecting and delivering multi-tenant platforms across multiple IBM Sterling Order Management implementations.
- Development experience in JavaScript (Node.js, React, and Angular.js), Java, SQL, XML, JSON, and microservices.
- Exposure to trending front-end technologies to enhance user experience for store and call center associates.
- Familiarity with emerging IBM Supply Chain products (e.g., IV/SIP, Fulfillment Order Optimizer, Business User Controls) that integrate with the technology landscape.
- Strong development experience with core order management modules, including DOM, GIV, SC, Platform, Payments, COM, and SOM.
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as SAP, SFCC, POS, ESB, CRM, and Analytics.
- In-depth knowledge of integration concepts (REST, SOAP, Batch, SFTP, API Gateways).
- Exposure to PII and PCI security and compliance policies.
- Hands-on experience with development and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and BitBucket.
- Experience in fashion, retail, or multi-brand environments is advantageous.
- Experience with cloud-hosted solutions (e.g., IBM Cloud, Commerce Cloud) and exposure to AI or business process automation is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of IBM Sterling Order Management development and multi-implementation with relevant industry experience.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum implementation methodology.
- Strong understanding of omnichannel ecosystems and end-to-end business processes, including fulfillment, payments, customer service, and other backend systems.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to clearly articulate solutions to IT management and business stakeholders.
