Gateway Search is proud to work with the service provider for turnkey power protection solutions. Due to their business expansion in Singapore, they are looking to bring on board a qualified Application Engineer.
Please note that this role is based on 5.5 working days.
Responsibilities
- Design genset skid bases, fuel tanks, and canopy enclosures to meet customer specifications
- Collaborate with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify mechanical equipment such as Air Handling Units, Chillers, Control systems, and Fire Detection/Suppression systems
- Review and approve equipment submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Participate in technical meetings with Sales and customers to clarify and align on technical details
- Coordinate with Electrical Engineers to optimize installation and integration designs for efficient system performance
- Work with Supply Chain Management to identify suitable equipment and negotiate pricing
- Adhere strictly to Tender and Project specifications throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with Local Singapore Standards and applicable International Standards relevant to the project
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, application engineering, or project engineering, preferably within the power generation, data centre, HVAC, or M&E industry.
- Experience in designing or reviewing genset skid bases, fuel tanks, canopies, or mechanical systems is highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of mechanical equipment such as Air Handling Units (AHUs), Chillers, Fire Detection & Suppression Systems, and Control Systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with AutoCAD or other engineering design software will be an advantage.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
