Application Engineer

Responsibilities

. Provide L1 / L2 (Day 2) support for production and non-production environments

. Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, and defects within SLA timelines

. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures

. Provide workarounds and coordinate fixes with development teams

. Monitor application health, logs, and workflows

. Proactively identify and address system performance or availability issues

. Support batch jobs, APIs, and system integrations where applicable

. Assist in application deployments across UAT, and Production

. Perform post-deployment validation and support rollback if required

. Adhere to change and release management processes

. Troubleshoot application workflows and system integrations

. Perform data validation, fixes, and basic query analysis (SQL)

. Support report generation and ad-hoc data requests

. Document issues, resolutions, and known workarounds

Requirements

. Degree/ Computer Science / Computer Engineering in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Equivalent.

. Minimum 3 years experience in L1 / L2 application support roles.

. Familiarity with enterprise applications (web, APIs, microservices, batch jobs)

. Knowledge of SQL databases (MSSQL / Oracle)

. Exposure to application servers (e.g., IIS, Tomcat, WebSphere, JBoss)

. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and time‑management skills.

. Able to work independently and as part of a team
