Brief Summary
This position entails leading a Product Application Lab focused on Semiconductor innovations. The successful candidate will foster collaboration to enhance product development and market presence in the Semiconductor sector.
Responsibilities
- Manage and operate the Product Application Lab dedicated to Semiconductor solutions. Collaborate with the Sales team and global technical resources to support product growth in Southeast Asia. Engage with customers to assess their equipment, processing, and product performance requirements. Conduct customer qualification tests and provide post-installation troubleshooting support. Recommend optimal products based on laboratory trials and direct product experience. Oversee the establishment and functioning of the Wafer Processing and Failure Analysis lab. Advise on necessary laboratory upgrades to better support customer needs. Drive process development and optimize semiconductor plating and processing chemistry. Execute product functional performance tests, coordinating with other regions for remote testing when necessary. Develop specifications and facility recommendations for local manufacturing of semiconductor products. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product chemistry performance. Establish operating procedures, quality targets, and release specifications for locally produced semiconductor products. Cultivate external collaborations with suppliers, academic institutions, or research organizations to enhance product offerings and visibility. Supervise and mentor laboratory technicians and assist in training operators for local manufacturing.
Requirements
- Graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. Minimum five years of experience in the Semiconductor wafer processing industry. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for internal and external collaboration. Capability to navigate a fast-evolving market requiring adaptability and strategic planning. Willingness to travel approximately 1-2 times per month within Southeast Asia and 1-2 times per year to international facilities.
