Team and Position Summary
The Technology Division at BCS is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and support of BCS applications such as FAST, Giro, CTS, PayNow, SGQR, TFR, eGIRO and its critical infrastructure, ensuring its operational stability, regulatory compliance, and service reliability.
The Application Delivery (Change) department is regarded as BCS domain experts, overseeing the enhancement, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of applications, ensuring its functionality, security, and performance in alignment with set standards.
The Application Developer will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable, secure, and business-aligned technology solutions. The scope includes development, design, prototyping, and supporting delivery teams throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support including prototyping and coding
- Build proof-of-concepts (POCs)
- Build Java and Web applications on AWS and On-premises
- Support build, deployment, and testing phases
- Ensure compliance with security and best practices
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Conduct performance and capacity assessments
- Deep dive and solve engineering problems
- Develop and maintain expertise in Java technologies (e.g., Struts, Spring Boot / Spring Batch), Tomcat, Oracle 19c, React JS, ServiceNow and AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, ECS, CloudWatch)
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in building and managing critical applications
- Fresh graduates with strong technical skills are welcomed to apply
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong experience in Java technologies (e.g., Spring Boot / Spring Batch)
- Proficient in React JS / Angular JS
- ServiceNow development experience in building workflows and integration with external systems will be an added advantage
- Experience in supporting critical application workloads on AWS Cloud
- Hands-on, detailed and a team player exemplifying the can-do attitude
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Professional Certifications
- AWS Cloud Certifications (Solutions Architect Associate or Developer Associate)
