We are partnering with a leading finance organisation to hire an experienced Application Developer. This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who enjoys designing, building, and supporting mission-critical applications while leveraging modern Java technologies and AWS cloud services.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java technologies and AWS.
- Build proof-of-concepts (POCs), prototypes, and scalable technology solutions.
- Support application build, deployment, testing, and production environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and performance issues.
- Perform SQL query tuning and application performance optimization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure applications comply with security, risk, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation and support implementation activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of application development experience within financial services, payments, or other regulated environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java technologies, including Spring Boot and/or Spring Batch.
- Experience with React JS or Angular JS.
- Proven experience supporting applications on AWS Cloud (EC2, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Oracle databases and SQL performance tuning.
- ServiceNow development and integration experience will be advantageous.
- AWS certification (Solutions Architect Associate or Developer Associate) is preferred.
