Job Title: Application Analyst / Engineer
Job Summary
The Application & Database Developeris responsible fordesigning, developing, andmaintainingsoftware applications and database systems that support business operations. This role involves full-stack development, database design, performance tuning, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Development
- Develop andmaintaincustom web, desktop, or mobile applications for manufacturing operations (e.g., MES, SPC, Equipment Tracking, Quality Management).
- Integrate applications with factory systems such as ERP, MES, PLCs, and data historians.
- Design APIs and interfaces for seamless data exchange between IT and OT systems.
- Support the automation of manufacturing workflows, reporting, and analytics dashboards.
- Generative AIfor code development
- Database Development
- Design, build, andoptimizerelational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and ETL scripts.
- Manage database performance tuning, backup/recovery, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with data engineers to structure data for analytics and reporting.
- Operations & Support
- Work closely with manufacturing engineers, process owners, and IT infrastructure teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Provide technical support for deployed applications and databases, including troubleshooting and enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, audit, and change management standards.
- Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to digital transformation projects such as predictive maintenance, AI/ML model integration,AgenticAIandBigdata.
- Identifyautomation opportunities and propose system improvements.
- Document system architecture, workflows, and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field
- 35 years of relevant experience in application support
- Strong understanding of application architecture and databases
- Proficiencyin
- Languages:Java, Python,C#, Node.js
- WebFrameworks:.NET, Flask, JavaScript
- Databases:Oracle, PostgreSQL,ETL, StoredProcedures, SQLServer
- Integration:REST APIs, Kafka, MQTT
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
- Experience with data modeling, performance tuning, and version control (Git).
- Familiarity with cloud and on-prem hybrid environments (GCP,Azure, AWS, etc.).
- Good to Have
- Experience with Rest API, Web backend,SQLand No-SQL databases
- Experience with big data platforms and real-time dataprocessing
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., manufacturing, engineering)
- Ability to create user guides and training materials
- Understanding of factory security, safety, and quality standards
- Nice to Have
- Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix)
- Understanding of information security best practices and compliance standards
- Experience in automation and process improvement initiatives
