Team Intro The Real Estate & Facilities department at ByteDance is responsible for managing workplace demand and allocation globally, providing services across space planning, leasing, design and fit-out, asset management, and facilities management. We continuously explore smart workplace solutions to create efficient working environments that support sustainable business growth. Responsibilities - End-to-End Project Exposure: Support and progressively take ownership of workplace projects across the full lifecycle, including requirements definition, budgeting, design coordination, procurement, construction delivery, and project closeout. Work closely with senior team members to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in line with workplace standards. - Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, Physical Security, Admin, and Food Services, to consolidate project requirements and translate them into design and delivery plans. Help align scope, timelines, and budgets across teams. - Project Planning & Execution Support: Assist with project scheduling, milestone tracking, risk management, and coordination with consultants, contractors, and vendors. Participate in OAC (Owner/Architect/Contractor) meetings and maintain accurate project documentation and reporting. - Cost & Process Awareness: Support budgeting, cost tracking, and basic commercial analysis. Gain exposure to procurement processes, vendor management, and cost optimisation practices, including key cost drivers such as design standards, MEP systems, and fit-out configurations. - Compliance & Closeout: Assist with project closeout activities, including punch list tracking, handover coordination, and documentation. Ensure compliance with internal policies covering procurement, contracting, approvals, and payments.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate, or related disciplines. - Strong interest in workplace design, construction, and real estate project management - Basic understanding (or strong learning ability) in areas such as workplace design, FF&E, MEP systems, and construction processes. - Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work under tight timelines. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other design/project tools is a plus. - Tech industry construction experience preferred, with knowledge of workplace design, workplace strategy, FF&E, lighting, acoustics, technology, MEP systems and furniture systems. - Internship experience in relevant fields is preferred.
