Responsibilities
Team Intro The Real Estate & Facilities department at ByteDance is responsible for managing workplace demand and allocation globally, providing services across space planning, leasing, design and fit-out, asset management, and facilities management. We continuously explore smart workplace solutions to create efficient working environments that support sustainable business growth. Responsibilities - End-to-end project delivery: Own all phases of project management, including requirements gathering, budgeting and estimation, design, construction and vendor procurement, cost negotiation, project delivery, milestone tracking and reporting, commissioning, and close-out. - Cross-functional alignment: Lead the development of project designs, schedules, and budgets (including capital expenditure justification), ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams such as IT, Physical Security, Admin, and Food Services to deliver desired workplace outcomes. - Process optimisation: Establish efficient processes and approval workflows for assigned projects, identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities. - Stakeholder reporting: Lead OAC (Owner/Architect/Contractor) and other project meetings, and develop clear status dashboards for executive reporting. - Compliance and close-out: Ensure completion of punch lists with contractors, facilities, and end-user teams. Adhere to corporate policies on sourcing, contracting, budgeting, approvals, and payments, working closely with Procurement, Cost, and Legal teams to ensure full compliance.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Construction, Building, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or a relevant field. - Familiarity with basic project management frameworks and core fundamentals of workplace construction and space management. - Basic knowledge of MEP (mechanical & electrical) systems, FF&E (firefighting) specifications, and general building regulatory requirements for APAC markets, with the ability to interpret basic construction and/or design drawings. - Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualise issues and communicate them to others. - Good organisation, coordination and leadership skills. - Ability to work collaboratively and pro-actively in a team environment to support cross-functional stakeholder alignment and coordination. - Eligibility to work in APAC markets, with willingness to travel when required. Preferred Qualifications - Prior internship experience in commercial real estate, construction project management, or facilities management, preferably in fast-growing tech/internet industry teams. - Working proficiency with CAD, Revit, and design software. - Tech industry construction experience preferred, with knowledge of workplace design, workplace strategy, FF&E, lighting, acoustics, technology, MEP systems and furniture systems. - Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and prioritise deliverables in fast-paced environments.
