Regional Product Quality Assurance Manager - FMCG / QSR

Retained Search: An international FMCG food organisation is hiring a APAC Product Quality Assurance Manager to lead product quality and menu commercialisation across Asia Pacific.
Based in Singapore, this role will work directly with suppliers and manufacturing sites to ensure core and new menu products meet food safety, quality and brand standards, and can be successfully trialled, scaled and launched across markets. This role requires both direct QA / FSQA accountability and hands-on product commercialisation experience. It is not a pure audit role or a pure menu innovation position.
The right-fit candidate needs to come with prior QSR exposure - gained within a QSR brand, franchisor or franchisee organisation, or within a food manufacturer / technical ingredient supplier directly managing QSR customer programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product quality assurance, food safety and supplier quality requirements for assigned menu products and regional suppliers across Asia Pacific
- Work directly with manufacturing sites on product trials, process validation, scale-up and commercialisation of core and new menu products
- Assess supplier capability, product specifications, manufacturing controls and compliance against defined brand and food safety standards
- Drive technical investigations, corrective actions, product improvements and supplier approval recommendations
- Support regional and secondary sourcing initiatives in partnership with supply chain and cross-functional stakeholders
- Build effective technical relationships with suppliers, franchisee partners and regional stakeholders, independently representing the quality and commercialisation agenda
Key Requirements
- Prior QSR exposure is essential, gained within a QSR brand, franchisor or franchisee organisation, or within a food manufacturer / technical ingredient supplier directly managing QSR customer programmes
- Experience in poultry or protein processing, whole-muscle products, coating / batter / breading systems, chilled product supply chains or technical commercialisation for QSR customers is strongly preferred
- Direct accountability for product QA, food safety, FSQA or supplier quality, combined with hands-on responsibility for product development, factory scale-up or commercialisation
- Proven experience working with suppliers and manufacturing sites on factory trials, process capability, technical troubleshooting and product approval
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food processing, product specifications, manufacturing controls and supplier compliance, supported by a degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Microbiology or a related discipline
- Ability to operate independently across multiple markets and undertake 50-60% regional travel; candidates currently based in Singapore will be prioritised, while candidates open to relocation may also be considered
