About the Role

At Barentz, we are looking for an experienced and commercially driven APAC Principal Manager to lead strategic principal partnerships, product portfolio growth, and regional market development across Asia Pacific.

This is a high-impact regional leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of commercial strategy, product management, supply chain excellence, and strategic partnerships. You will work closely with global principals, regional commercial teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive profitable growth, strengthen market positioning, and unlock new business opportunities across key APAC markets.

As a key business leader, you will shape market strategies, drive product commercialization, and ensure strong execution across multiple countries while building long-term partnerships with global principals and customers.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Product & Business Strategy

  • Define and drive product strategies, portfolio roadmaps, and go-to-market plans aligned with customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Conduct market, customer, and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and strengthen market positioning.
  • Support commercial teams across Southeast Asia and broader APAC in business development, opportunity conversion, and customer engagement.
  • Lead principal business plans, market implementation strategies, and portfolio expansion initiatives to maximize profitability and market penetration.
  • Monitor key business performance indicators including pipeline growth, project conversions, product launches, and commercialization success.
  • Deliver technical and commercial product training to sales teams and strategic customers.
  • Identify and secure new mandates, product partnerships, and expansion opportunities with global principals.

Principal Relationship Management

  • Build and strengthen long-term strategic relationships with global principals and key stakeholders.
  • Act as the main regional interface between principals and internal business teams.
  • Drive business reviews, strategic alignment discussions, and partnership development plans.
  • Ensure transparent communication, knowledge sharing, and alignment across regional teams.

Supply Chain & Operational Leadership

  • Partner with suppliers, customers, and internal operations teams to ensure supply continuity and service excellence.
  • Lead forecasting, demand planning, inventory optimization, and supply risk management.
  • Oversee stock management, shelf-life control, and inventory health across the region.
  • Support supplier negotiations and commercial agreements to optimize cost and service levels.
  • Lead and develop supply chain and operational teams to drive performance and continuous improvement.

Marketing & Market Development

  • Partner with marketing teams to drive industry campaigns, technical seminars, webinars, and trade exhibitions.
  • Represent the business in industry events and strengthen market visibility across APAC.

About You

  • You possess a bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in distribution, specialty ingredients, chemicals, or B2B industrial sectors.
  • Strong experience in principal management, product management, business development, and regional commercial leadership.
  • Proven track record in managing strategic supplier/principal relationships and delivering profitable business growth across multiple markets.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in forecasting, portfolio management, and supply chain coordination.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working across cultures and managing regional business complexity.
  • Willingness to travel across APAC as business requires.
