Role Summary
The APAC Middle Office Solutions Manager is a senior managerial role responsible for the end-to-end leadership, governance, and delivery of Middle Office digital solutions across all APAC markets. The role requires a highly capable project and program leader who can oversee the full lifecycle of complex regional initiatives from strategy and solution design through implementation, integration, operational stabilization, and continuous improvement.
Acting as the regional owner of Middle Office solutions spanning Workforce Management, Billing, Associates HRMS, and Payroll, the manager ensures solutions are aligned with business outcomes, scalable across markets, and integrated seamlessly across platforms and functions. The role drives cross-functional collaboration, enforces structured project management practices, and ensures consistent delivery standards, compliance, and operational excellence across APAC.
Through strong leadership and governance, the position establishes standardized regional processes, improves operational efficiency, and delivers reliable pay-bill outcomes while supporting the organization's digital transformation and modernization agenda.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Solution & Program Leadership
- Lead the complete lifecycle of Middle Office solution initiatives across APAC from concept, business case, and design through deployment and post-implementation stabilization.
- Apply structured project and program management methodologies to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery.
- Coordinate cross-country implementation plans and manage regional delivery timelines, risks, and dependencies.
- Ensure solutions address upstream and downstream impacts across business functions and markets.
2. Regional Solution Strategy & Product Ownership
- Own and manage the APAC Middle Office solution roadmap covering Workforce Management, Billing, Associates HRMS, Payroll, and etc.
- Drive alignment between regional business priorities and global technology strategy.
- Lead initiatives focused on modernization, automation, and digital transformation.
- Balance regional standardization with local regulatory and operational requirements.
3. Requirements Management & End-to-End Process Design
- Lead regional requirements gathering and process blueprinting activities.
- Define scalable, standardized workflows that consider the full operational lifecycle from time capture to pay-bill outcomes.
- Facilitate cross-functional design workshops to ensure solutions are practical, integrated, and future-ready.
4. Delivery Execution & Integration Oversight
- Translate business requirements into structured solution specifications and delivery plans.
- Partner with IT, vendors, and country teams to execute implementations and enhancements.
- Lead regional testing strategy, UAT coordination, and multi-market deployments.
- Oversee change management, release planning, and solution adoption initiatives.
5. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Establish regional process governance and performance standards.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual intervention and improve data accuracy through automation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and user experience.
6. Regional Stakeholder & Vendor Leadership
- Serve as the central APAC liaison across operations, finance, HR, payroll, and compliance teams.
- Lead stakeholder alignment to ensure solutions meet regional and local business needs.
- Manage vendor relationships, delivery performance, and roadmap coordination.
7. Governance, Risk & Compliance Management
- Ensure solutions comply with APAC labour laws, payroll/tax regulations, and data privacy standards.
- Maintain strong governance over system configurations, changes, and release controls.
- Support internal and external audit activities through structured controls and documentation.
8. Performance Management & Delivery Outcomes
- Monitor solution performance, adoption rates, and operational metrics across markets.
- Lead regional governance forums reviewing KPIs related to pay accuracy, billing efficiency, and process adherence.
- Drive corrective actions and improvement programs based on data insights.
Required Qualifications
Education& Experience
- Bachelor's degree in IT, HR Systems, Business, or related field.
- 12+ years experience leading technology or operational transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience managing regional or multi-country programs in APAC.
- Background in workforce solutions or staffing operations preferred.
Technical & Delivery Skills
- Proven project/program management experience delivering complex end-to-end solutions.
- Strong understanding of HRMS, payroll, billing, and workforce management platforms.
- Knowledge of pay/bill processes, statutory compliance, and time capture workflows.
- Experience overseeing system integrations, APIs, and middleware solutions.
