Job Description

The Engineering Supervisor works with engineering departments to develop, implement, and deploy approved operational processes and best practices consistently throughout the company. He/She will train I.E. resources in the approved processes and standards for work measurement application and will maintain the database which houses such information. This position will assist the I.E. departments in special reengineering or new projects, as necessary. The Engineering Supervisor will take a lead role in planning and execution of large project implementations or training initiatives. He/She may also manage other subject matter experts to ensure timelines and project deliverables are met and developing Web Application training material for use by Operation Trainers. This position may also be responsible for coordinating Operation Trainers efforts in field training. This position may supervise others.

Job Responsibilities

Supports warehouse operation team in providing improvement solutions for Healthcare processes and challenges

  • Demonstrates a detailed understanding of logistics and supply chain concepts; makes recommendations for possible changes to solve supply chain problems on routine accounts.
  • Demonstrates a detailed understanding of Cost Modelling financial concepts and drivers; and P&L components of an account income statements.
  • Communicates with different stakeholder to gain clear understanding of requirements.
  • Supports team with designing detailed warehouse processes, managing vendors and cost tracking. Collaboratively work with IT solutions teams to provide a total supply chain solution.
  • Ensures the final design will meet customer expectations, fit UPS Healthcare strategy
  • Participates in customer meetings/workshops

Manages project lifecycles

  • Develops project plans, assigns tasks to resources and ensures affected functions or groups are identified and held accountable.
  • Communicates with assigned resources formally (e.g., status meetings, etc.) and informally to continuously manage deliverables and adherence to the project timelines.
  • Presents project documents to stakeholders to obtain sign-off, agreement on project cost and pricing.
  • Balances multiple projects and deployment schedules to meet stakeholder goals and expectations.

Continuous Improvement Lead

  • Analyze workflows, map processes, and use data to find inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Apply CI tools and methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile) to solve problems and optimize operations.
  • Lead improvement projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and measurable results.
  • Demonstrate knowledges of latest innovation and technologies in the market
  • Monthly update of CI projects

Job Requirements

  • Possess a bachelor's or master's degree preferably in logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business administration
  • 2-4 years experience in the Logistics Industry, preferably in the Healthcare sector
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, strong strategic thinking, and a proactive mindset
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; able to build relationships and establish trust with internal and external stakeholders
  • Creative, open to new ideas, and able to drive innovative solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive change effectively
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on managing for outcomes
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio) and AutoCad
  • Flexible in time (for occasional night calls) and place (to travel to different Healthcare facilities within Singapore)
  • Able to travel for work occasionally (if required)
