The APAC Control and Performance Manager is responsible for overseeing financial governance, performance management, and operational finance activities across the APAC region. The role ensures strong financial discipline, robust governance frameworks, and effective coordination with Branch and Holding headquarters, while supporting business performance, investments, and complex transactions.
The APAC Control and Performance Manager acts as a key financial partner to regional management, Joint Ventures, and Group control and finance functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Governance & Compliance
- Represent the Group in governance bodies, including Directorships and Joint Venture Boards, ensuring alignment with Group policies and fiduciary requirements.
- Oversee and validate Delegation of Authority (DOA) approvals across the region.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks, approval processes, and internal control standards.

2. Finance Operations & Performance Oversight
Procurement
- Oversee regional procurement activities and performance.
- Supervise the Purchase Manager (based in Manila),
- Ensure procurement governance, cost control, and value creation in line with Company policies.
Credit Management
- Oversee credit risk management and performance monitoring across the region.
- Supervise the Credit Analyst based in Manila,
- Ensure robust credit assessments, counterparty risk control, and monitoring processes.
Budgeting & Long-Term Planning
- Lead the annual budget and Long-Term Plan (LTP) processes for the APAC region.
- Ensure consistency between operational performance, strategic objectives, and financial forecasts.
- Analyze variances, challenge assumptions, and drive corrective actions where required.
3. Committees & Decision-Making Framework
- Define, manage, and enforce mandates for regional committees, including:
- Investment Committees
- Joint Venture Committees
- Contract Committees
- Credit Committees
- Prepare, review, and challenge financial submissions to support sound and compliant decision-making.
- Act as a key control and performance contributor in investment, contractual, and credit decisions.
4. Transactions, Treasury & Financial Risk
- Provide financial control and performance support on farm-down transactions, disposals, and partnership arrangements.
- Support financing transactions in coordination with Group Finance and Treasury.
- Define and monitor the FX hedging strategy for the APAC region, in line with Group policies.
- Ensure effective management of financial risks (FX exposure, liquidity, counterparty risk).
- Manage Service Level Agreements with Company internal providers and guarantee the compliance of invoicing schemes.
5. Reporting & Coordination with Group Functions
- Lead and participate in regular reporting and coordination meetings with the Branch and the Holding departments
- Act as the primary APAC interface with Group functions, including:
- Financial Reporting
- Finance Controlling
- Tax
- Legal
- Treasury
Ensure consistency, transparency, and timeliness of financial and performance reporting
6. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate and guide geographically dispersed finance, legal, compliance, procurement, and credit teams across APAC.
- Support the development and performance of offshore teams, including shared services in Manila.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, JV partners, auditors, banks, and advisors.
- Promote a strong culture of performance, control, and accountability.
- Contribute when needed, together with HR, to support functions employee's recruitments in APAC countries
Requirement
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
Minimum 15 years of experience in finance, control, or performance management roles
Exposure to governance bodies, committees, and financial transactions
Experience in international or capital-intensive businesses is a strong advantage
