Team Introduction: ByteDance is seeking a stellar Collections Analyst to join our Singapore office. In this role, you will be driving ByteDance's cash flow by managing the end-to-end Invoice-to-Cash process for our largest and most strategic clients across Asia. We serve as trusted strategic advisors to the business, ensuring financial discipline and maximizing working capital. Our core mission involves pioneering creative, root-cause solutions to complex, product-agnostic payment blockers and continuously optimizing collection strategies across ByteDance's entire suite of monetizable products. The role sits in Global Revenue Management (GRM) and is part of the ByteDance's Finance function. GRM is responsible for revenue management and accounting for monetization of TikTok via the following processes: running the Order to Cash (OTC) cycle, establishing and integrating business-finance platforms together and revenue accounting. Role and Responsibilities: As a Collections Analyst, you will contribute to a high-performing team responsible for overseeing the critical Invoice-to-Cash operations. Your primary focus will be on ownership of strategic payment inflows, resolving complex billing disputes, and driving disciplined collection behaviors across the APAC market. - Relationship builder: Provide ongoing consultation and support to our key clients and stakeholders on questions related to Bytedance's collections policies and processes. - Process Optimization & Risk Mitigation: Drive the continuous evolution and optimization of collections and credit processes and tools to enhance efficiency, reduce outstanding debt, and mitigate bad debt risk at scale. - Cross-Functional Influence: Act as the point of contact and trusted financial partner to Sales leadership and Sales Support teams, utilizing data-driven insights to influence financial policies, drive disciplined collection behaviors, and safeguard TikTok's cash flow objectives. - Problem Solver: Conduct thorough investigations into billing disputes and promptly address customer inquiries, maintaining a focus on timely resolution.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of work experience in collections or accounts receivable, with a strong track record in managing overdue accounts. - Proficiency in Mandarin is essential given the role involves frequent communication with Chinese stakeholders based in Chinese-speaking markets and the need to review reports in Mandarin. - Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage difficult conversations and drive timely payments. - Solid understanding of debt collection processes, workflows, and best practices. - Experience working across APAC markets, with knowledge of regional collection practices and cultural nuances. - Demonstrated business judgment and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve results. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in the digital advertising industry or working with media/technology clients. - Exposure to multi-country collections within APAC, including handling cross-border accounts. - Familiarity with ERP systems or collections tools (e.g., SAP or similar platforms). - Experience collaborating with sales, finance, and legal teams to resolve complex collection issues. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
