Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize Ansible playbooks for routine operational tasks and runbooks.
- Translate existing manual or semi-automated operational procedures into Ansible-based automated workflows.
- Integrate Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) with ITSM tools like ServiceNow for automated ticket resolution.
- Manage inventories, credentials, and role-based access within AAP.
- Enhance runbook reliability through version control (Git), testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Create reusable Ansible roles and collections to standardize automation at scale.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and network teams to identify and automate high-value tasks.
- Maintain documentation, governance, and compliance around automation workflows.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5-8 years overall IT automation experience, with at least 3+ years in Ansible Automation Platform (AAP/Tower).
- Strong in Ansible playbook, role, and collection development.
- Experience integrating Ansible with ServiceNow, monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog), and other enterprise platforms.
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows administration, APIs, and YAML/JSON structures.
- Working knowledge of Python or Shell scripting for custom modules or workflows.
Desirable:
- Experience building closed-loop automation between APM tools and AAP.
- Certification in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform preferred.
