Android Engineer (AI app, native, established company with millions of users)

Role Summary
My client is looking for an Android Engineer to build high-quality mobile applications with excellent performance and user experience. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing Android apps used by millions of users, working closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver scalable and reliable features.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications with high performance and reliability
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver intuitive user experiences
• Optimize app performance, including memory usage, rendering, and network efficiency
• Build reusable components and scalable mobile architecture
• Integrate APIs and backend services into mobile applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, ensuring app stability and quality
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Stay up to date with Android development trends and technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related field
• 2-7+ years of Android development experience
• Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java
• Strong understanding of Android SDK, UI frameworks, and lifecycle management
• Experience with modern Android architecture (e.g., MVVM, Jetpack components)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and network communication
• Experience with performance optimization and debugging tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
