We are hiring an experienced Android Developer to design, develop, and support high-quality mobile applications for enterprise users. This role involves building scalable Android solutions, enhancing user experience, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, design, develop, test, and maintain Android mobile applications.
- Convert UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Build high-performance, reusable, and reliable application features.
- Optimise app performance, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
- Troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and improve application stability.
- Maintain code quality through documentation, testing, and best practices.
- Support application deployment, release management, and post-production fixes.
- Work closely with product, backend, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver enhancements.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years of hands-on Android development experience.
- Strong experience with Kotlin and/or Java.
- Solid understanding of Android SDK, app lifecycle, and compatibility across Android versions.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of offline storage, multithreading, and performance optimisation.
- Familiarity with Git / SVN version control tools.
- Experience with SQL and database interactions.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to React Native, TypeScript, or Angular.
- Experience with biometric authentication (Face ID / Fingerprint / Iris).
- Knowledge of push notifications and cloud messaging services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated release processes.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Relevant hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering quality solutions.
