Purpose of the Position
Reporting to the Reliabilty and Asset Integrity Manager, the Process Analyzer Technician's (PAT) primary responsiblity is to ensure all assigned functions within the production areas are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and in compliance to established procedures and safe work practices.
Job Description
- Perform routine maintenance for Process Analyzers (including GCs, analyzers, as detectors & etc.) as per maintenance schedule to ensure accuracy of online measurements, functionality, reliability and safe operation to the plant.
- Liaise with operations personnel in each process area regarding analyzer performance or issues inform when maintenance or calibration work is required.
- Perform reactive maintenance on PAT analyzers as requested by operations or as required due to failures or identified problems
- Document maintenance activities in the instrument logbooks.
- Ensure all PAT documentation is updated regularly.
- Perform routine cross-checks with laboratory results to ensure accuracy of online measurements.
- Ensure high reliability and accuracy of PAT analyzers( 95%)
- Work with external vendors for their required service visits.
- Perform scheduled calibration on PAT equipment as per calibration schedule.
- Monitor PAT spare parts and supplies, inform supervisor if replenishment is needed.
- Perform required duties in the production plant in compliance with all quality, safety and environmental requirements according to applicable local and company standards.
- Perform and document analyzer and safety system functional testing.
Requirements
- NITEC in Chemical Process Technology, Electrical, Electronic /Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Electrical, Electronic or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of operational experience with demonstrable exposure to Process Plant Operations in Chemical Process Plants/Oil and Gas industries.
- Possess good technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the maintenance of Process Analyzers.
