Job Description
- Develop and maintain Supply and Demand models for thermal coal and petcoke consumers across Southeast Asia
- Support relationship management with existing clients, including traders and industrial end-users.
- Gather market intelligence, including concluded deals, demand trends, and client feedback to enhance customer engagement and responsiveness.
- Lead business development efforts to onboard new clients and expand market share to diversify and strengthen the supply base in response to evolving market demand.
- Collaborate internal teams to structure CFR-based offers and optimize part-parcel loadings/vessel blends.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key coal suppliers including SBE, Berau, MME, MBL, UMM, ATM, and others to generate PnL for FE Coal Book.
- Assist in managing the logistics, scheduling, and vessel positioning for both ULCV and LCV cargo segments (1 mmT/month).
- Implement new procurement and sales strategies over time with a seasoned team of experienced Senior Traders with an emphasis on stock & sale coals for Indian market.
- Improve coordination and communication cross-offices in the region.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience in the coal/coke trading business
- Expertise in global commodity markets, preferable in thermal coal, coking coal and coke
- Technical knowledge of the products and its uses
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal is required for daily interaction with both internal and external stakeholders throughout varying geographical areas to conduct daily operations
- Accurate and efficient working style with good attention to detail to complete the daily processes
- Ability to be flexible with working hours in the event of deadlines and work well under pressure
- Ability to work collaboratively and proactively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
