About the Job:

This role is central to the full application development and maintenance lifecycle, demanding a blend of hands-on technical expertise and robust coordination skills. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and support of core applications, ensuring all solutions meet architectural standards and perform optimally. A significant component of the role involves quality assurance, specifically managing System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking (often in JIRA), and coordinating with product teams and external vendors to drive product stability and continuous enhancement.

Roles & ResponsibilitiesTechnical Design & Documentation:

• Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into robust technical design documents that align with the company's enterprise architecture.
• Hands-On Development: Develop, code, and debug high-quality application modules, providing core engineering expertise to development and maintenance teams.
• Testing Lifecycle Management: Manage and coordinate the full testing lifecycle, including SIT and UAT. This involves handling user queries, coordinating UAT scheduling, and ensuring timely testing completion.
• Quality Assurance & Defect Management: Record and track all defects (bugs) identified during testing, proactively escalating critical issues to project management and collaborating on rapid resolution.
• Design and execute necessary retest cases, scripts, and data.
• Performance and Optimization: Monitor application performance in JIRA and production environments, conducting detailed performance optimization analysis, and implementing vendor or internally developed enhancements to improve system efficiency.
• System Support: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for applications, ensuring stability and alignment with strategic objectives.

Requirements:Technical Expertise: Proven hands-on experience in the following key technologies is essential for application development, maintenance, and integration:

• Messaging and Transactional Systems: SWIFT/AMH, MQ (Message Queuing).

• Core Languages: Java.

• Operating Environment: Unix/Linux.

• Database: Oracle.Testing Proficiency: Experience managing SIT and UAT cycles, tracking defects (e.g., using JIRA or similar tools), and coordinating testing activities across multiple stakeholders.Development Experience: Demonstrated ability to design, code, debug, and document program requirements within complex systems (e.g., middleware, legacy, mainframe).
