Analyst Programmer (AS400/ Cobol/ RPG) - Singapore

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a high performing Analyst programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems using a variety of programming languages and tools.

Responsibilities:

1. Code, debug, test, and document complex programs and changes to existing programs using a variety of programming languages including COBOL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and EZYTRIEVE.

2. Work in multiple environments including AS400 and Microfocus.

3. Develop and maintain applications in COBOL 400, DB 400, CL, RPG, IBM MQ, API, and RPGLE on AS400 environment.

4. Develop and maintain applications in COBOL, Oracle SQL, and Unix on Microfocus environment.

5. Use change management tools such as Changeman, Endeavor, and ARCAD.

6. Write and maintain Python scripts for various tasks including data manipulation and processing.

7. Use data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau to present complex data in a comprehensible manner.

8. Collaborate with other team members to design, develop, and optimize code.

9. Troubleshoot and resolve system related issues and provide support.

10. Regularly update management on project status and suggested improvements.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

2. 12+ years of experience as a Analyst Programmer/ Systems Analyst/ System Analyst.

3. 9+ years of experience in COBOL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and EZYTRIEVE.

4. 5+ years of experience in AS400 environment including COBOL 400, DB 400, CL, RPG, IBM MQ, API, and RPGLE.

5. Experience in Microfocus environment including COBOL, Oracle SQL, and Unix.

6. Proficiency in using change management tools such as Changeman, Endeavor, and ARCAD.

7. Experience in scripting with Python.

8. Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.

9. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

10. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
