Main Function of the role:
Federated Hermes Private Equity has been investing in the Asia Pacific (APAC) market for over two decades. The role offers the opportunity to join the Private Equity APAC team. The team is responsible for deploying capital across fund, co-investment, and secondary investment opportunities. The candidate will be required to assist in client support activities, as well as contribute to investment process in the Asia Pacific region.
Key task and responsibilities:
Investment research and analysis:
.Supporting due diligence of primary fund, co-investment, and secondary investment opportunities in the region
. Assisting portfolio monitoring and client reporting activities
. Reviewing various due diligence reports for potential investment opportunities in the region
. Preparing investment discussion materials and presenting to the Global Investment Committee (IC)
Client support:
. Supporting periodic client reporting and responding to ad-hoc requests from clients in the region
. Preparing marketing materials including responding to Request-for-Proposal/Information(RFP/RFI)
. Organizing client meetings and conference calls for existing and new investors
. Supporting investor due diligence sessions by scheduling meetings and preparing materials
Minimum Experience Required:
. Minimum of 9 months full-time work experience in relevant industries, such as private equity, investment banking, consulting, accounting or placement agency.
. Experience of conducting investment research within the Chinese market.
. Strong academic track record, will be educated to bachelor degree level, preferably with an advanced degree.
. Fluency (written and spoken) in English and Mandarin language skill is required, plus fluency in Japanese would be an advantage.
Candidate Profile:
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prepare written reports and present confidently to investors in Mandarin Chinese and English
. Personable with high emotional intelligence and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and private equity fund managers
.Entrepreneurial and creative with a strong interest in high quality client service
. Commercial acumen - ability and interest in analysing and assessing investment opportunities
