Central Engineering - Optical PHY (CE-AMS-OPHY) team designs high-speed and optical transceivers for communication infrastructure in long-haul, metro, datacenter and AI cluster. We address the bandwidth, capacity and power issues faced by cloud computing, mega data centers, AI clusters that powers the social media giant platforms and AI computing. Our innovative approaches have resulted in the company's products being first to market in many of key areas, developing the most advanced chips and subsystems solutions to address the ever-increasing demand of higher data rates driven by video-on demand, gaming and AI applications. As a member of a dynamic CE-AMS-OPHY team, the candidate will be responsible for designing circuits used for high-speed optical transceivers. The member will have an opportunity to work in deep submicron process and collaborate with the team on next-gen high-speed optical transceivers.

What You Can Expect

As an Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Intern, you will play a critical role in the development of advanced CMOS transceiver and SERDES products. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting and understanding circuit specifications and system-level requirements.

  • Helping on design and implementation of high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits, including PLLs, DLLs, ADCs, voltage regulators, amplifiers, transmitters (TX), receivers (RX), and clock/data recovery (CDR) circuits.

  • Performing detailed circuit-level simulations and design verification using industry-standard EDA tools to ensure functionality, performance, and robustness.

  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams-including digital design, layout, and validation-to ensure seamless integration and successful tape-out.

  • Participating in design reviews, maintaining thorough documentation, and contributing to the continuous improvement of design methodologies and flows.

What We're Looking For

  • BEng/MSc student in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent

  • Understanding of analog circuit fundamental and semiconductor device physics

  • Highly motivated, self-driven, curious, and hungry-to-learn

  • Strong knowledge on IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, Spice, Matlab, Python, etc.

  • Strong team-player with solid communication skills
