About The Team
The Murdoch Singapore team is a dynamic and collaborative group dedicated to delivering high-quality academic, learning, and administrative support to a large and diverse student and alumni community.
Working closely across functions, the team plays a key role in creating an engaging and supportive student experience, while also fostering strong connections with alumni in Singapore. The team is also involved in supporting impactful research initiatives, including the Singapore Centre for Research on Innovation, Productivity and Technology (SCRIPT), contributing to projects of national relevance. With a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and service, the Murdoch Singapore team actively contributes to strengthening the University's reputation as a leader in transnational education.
Your New Role!
The Alumni Engagement Officer (Singapore) supports Murdoch Singapore and the Alumni Relations team in strengthening alumni connections locally and globally. Basedin Singapore, the role focuses on coordinating events, programs, and networks that foster meaningful engagement and support the University's broader objectives.
Your Key Responsibilities will include
. Partner with the Senior Engagement Manager to deliver alumni engagement initiatives that align with university priorities and achieve key targets.
. Coordinate alumni chapter activities across Singapore, Malaysia, and the region, including meetings, reunions, and networking events, ensuring effective delivery and follow-up.
. Build and maintain relationships with alumni to encourage ongoing involvement through initiatives such as events, awards nominations, guest speaking, volunteering, and alumni profiling.

What you'll bring to the role:
. A qualification equivalent to an undergraduate degree in marketing, events management, or a related discipline or a combination of relevant experience in alumni engagement, fundraising, and/or industry engagement.
. Strong understanding of fundraising practices and alumni relations principles.
. Proven experience in planning and delivering strategic events, including those involving high-profile stakeholders and activities.
. Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing volunteer programs.
. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to lead meetings, engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and tailor communications for diverse audiences.
