Alternative Investment Specialist

We are seeking a Junior Alternative Investments Specialist to support the evaluation, execution, and on going monitoring of alternative investment opportunities. This role is suited for candidates at an early stage of their career who are keen to develop hands-on experience across private markets. The successful candidate will work closely with senior investment professionals and management, supporting analysis, documentation, and coordination with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operational and administrative tasks to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Assist senior team members on ad hoc projects and business initiatives as required.
  • Perform basic financial analysis, including cash flow modelling, return analysis (IRR, multiples), and sensitivity analysis.
  • Prepare investment summaries, internal memoranda, and presentation materials for internal review.
  • Assisting the documentation, tracking of deliverables, and coordination with external service providers, including fund administrators, custodians, auditors, and legal counsel.
  • Support activities across the fund or project life cycle (setup, maintenance, monitoring, and closure).
  • Assist with routine compliance checks, maintenance of regulatory records, and preparation of MAS-related documentation.
  • Support communication and coordination with external stakeholders when required.
  • Handle basic office administration tasks as needed (e.g., organising files, scheduling, follow-ups).
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks outside the initial scope, as required in a lean team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Economics, or any other discipline with a strong interest in financial markets and alternative investments.
  • Strong willingness to learn, take ownership of new and evolving responsibilities, with the ability to work across multiple functions in a lean team environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Highly adaptable, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a hands-on and problem-solving mindset.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of alternative investment products or strong willingness to develop expertise in these areas.

For interested applicants, please submit your CV along with your current and expected salary. We regret to inform you that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
