Location: Singapore (with overseas collaboration)
Company: Measurement Advanced Engineering Pte Ltd (MAE)
About Us
Measurement Advanced Engineering Pte Ltd (MAE) is a deep-tech instrumentation company based in Singapore. We develop and commercialize advanced flow measurement solutions, including the world's first fully 3D-printed Coriolis flowmeter and cutting-edge calibration laboratories. Our mission is to redefine precision measurement for the energy transition, covering LNG, hydrogen, ammonia, CCUS, and marine bunkering industries.
We are expanding our team and seeking a talented Algorithm Engineer to join our R&D group, working on transmitter software and supporting hardware integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Algorithm Development
- Design, implement, and optimize signal processing algorithms for Coriolis flowmeters (e.g., phase shift, density, multi-mode resonance).
- Apply filtering, FFT, Kalman, and advanced estimation techniques to enhance measurement stability and accuracy, including low-flow conditions.
- Research and prototype novel self-diagnostic and compensation methods.
- Transmitter Software
- Develop embedded software/firmware for flowmeter transmitters.
- Implement real-time signal processing, digital communications (HART, Modbus, PROFIBUS, etc.), and system control logic.
- Collaborate with electronics and hardware teams to ensure robust integration.
- Hardware & Integration Support
- Work closely with electronics engineers on PCB, DSP/FPGA, and microcontroller integration.
- Validate algorithms on hardware testbeds and prototypes.
- Support calibration and lab testing campaigns.
- Collaboration & Documentation
- Work with R&D, QA/QC, and product management teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
- Maintain clear documentation of algorithms, code, and validation results.
- Participate in IP and patent development where applicable.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.
- Strong foundation in signal processing, control theory, and applied mathematics.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or embedded programming.
- Experience with DSP/FPGA/microcontrollers and real-time systems.
- Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink, ANSYS, COMSOL, etc.) a plus.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols (HART, Modbus, etc.) desirable.
- Prior exposure to flow measurement, sensors, or instrumentation systems is a strong advantage.
- Creative problem solver with ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to work on world-first innovations in flow measurement.
- Exposure to both software and hardware R&D in a deep-tech environment.
- Career development in a fast-growing company with global partnerships.
- Competitive salary, performance-based incentives, and benefits.
