Responsibilities
- VIO Frontend: Design, implement and iterate better performing keypoint matching / optical flow tracking in difficult lighting and texture environment
- VIO Backend: Trade off optimising factors and runtime speed for improved overall accuracy and long term robustness; Optimise computation through parallelisation or heterogeneous computing (GPU/DSP/NPU)
- SLAM layer: Design, implement and iterate object recognition and storage sub-system for relocalization
- Simulation: Develop and use simulation environments to test and validate perception algorithms.
- Conduct field tests to ensure real-world performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Maintain thorough documentation of designs, algorithms, and test results.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Math, Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Rust.
- Strong understanding of sensor technologies (e.g., cameras, IMUs) and SLAM techniques.
- Experience with perception frameworks and libraries (e.g., ROS, OpenCV, Eigen, GTSAM).
- Solid knowledge of machine learning and computer vision algorithms
- Familiarity with 3D point cloud processing and geometric reasoning
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in deploying perception systems on drones or autonomous robots
- Exposure to software optimization for resource-constrained environments
Other Requirements:
- Singapore Permanent Residency and right to work is an essential requirement for this position
