Algo / Electronic Sales Trader

EC1 Partners is supporting a leading global financial markets business with the hire of an Algo / Electronic Sales Trader in Singapore.

This is a newly created role within an established equities trading desk, focused on cash equities, electronic execution and client coverage across Asian markets.

The role would suit someone with around 5+ years experience in equities trading, sales trading, electronic execution, prime brokerage, securities lending or a related client-facing markets role.

The successful candidate will work closely with institutional clients, helping them access liquidity, understand market conditions and make better use of electronic and algorithmic trading solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting execution across Asian cash equity markets
• Working with clients on electronic trading and algo execution workflows
• Providing market colour, trading insight and client-facing commentary
• Building strong relationships across the Singapore institutional trading community
• Helping onboard clients and increase product adoption
• Working closely with trading, product and business development teams across APAC

This role does not require someone to be a pure algo specialist from day one. Strong cash equities knowledge, genuine market interest, communication skills and the right attitude are just as important.
