Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Airport Representative to oversee and coordinate airline ground operations at Singapore Changi Airport (WSSS). This hands-on operational role is responsible for ensuring smooth flight turnarounds, efficient passenger handling, and seamless coordination between all operational stakeholders while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and service quality.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in airline or airport ground operations, strong knowledge of the Changi Airport environment, and the ability to communicate fluently in both English and Mandarin to support operational coordination and passenger service requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all ground handling activities, including check-in, boarding, baggage handling, and aircraft turnaround operations.
- Coordinate closely with SATS, dnata, airport authorities, flight crew, OCC, and third-party service providers to ensure smooth operational execution.
- Monitor flight movements and on-time performance (OTP), ensuring efficient operations from arrival to departure.
- Manage operational disruptions and irregular operations (IROPs), including delays, cancellations, and diversions while minimizing passenger impact.
- Ensure compliance with airline SOPs, CAAS regulations, aviation safety standards, and security procedures.
- Coordinate aircraft bay and gate assignments while ensuring operational readiness.
- Verify operational documentation and support load control coordination when required.
- Oversee fueling, catering, cleaning, and ground service activities to ensure timely departures.
- Conduct pre- and post-operation briefings with operational teams and service providers.
- Provide high-level passenger service, including VIP passengers, PRM, UMNR, and other special service requirements.
- Monitor and coordinate cargo flight operations, including load readiness, warehouse coordination, and communication with handling agents to support efficient aircraft turnaround and operational performance.
- Act as the main point of contact for operational escalations and resolve issues efficiently under pressure.
- Maintain continuous communication with the Operations Control Center (OCC) regarding flight status, delays, and operational updates.
- Monitor operational KPIs and support audits, inspections, and regulatory checks when required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in airport or airline ground operations.
- Previous experience as an Airport Representative, Duty Officer, Turnaround Coordinator, or similar operational role.
- Strong knowledge of Changi Airport operations and SATS/dnata handling environment.
- Experience in managing flight operations and irregular operations (IROPs).
- Fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Basic computer skills for operational reporting and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Aviation, Hospitality, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience working with an airline or General Sales Agent (GSA).
- Knowledge of airline operational systems and airport procedures.
- Candidates holding a valid Changi Airport Pass and completed airport security/safety training will have a strong advantage.
