Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end airfreight import and export shipments, including booking, documentation, customs clearance, billing, and shipment closure.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing shipment updates and resolving operational issues.
- Coordinate with airlines, ground handlers, trucking partners, customs, and internal teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs, KPIs, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
- Handle complex or high-value shipments and resolve delays, documentation discrepancies, and customs issues.
- Maintain accurate shipment records, reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Identify process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.
- Guide junior customer service staff on airfreight procedures and documentation.
- Escalate unresolved operational or customer issues to management when necessary.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma qualification.
- At least 5 years of relevant airfreight / freight forwarding experience.
- Proficient in CargoWise.
