About the Role
We are looking for an Airdrop & Yield Hunter to identify, test, and document new crypto protocols, testnets, and yield opportunities. You will act as the firm's eyes and ears in DeFi and emerging ecosystems — finding projects that may airdrop tokens, testing their functionality, and reporting back with clear stepbystep guides. You will also monitor existing yield strategies (staking, lending, liquidity pools) to optimize returns. This is not a developer role — you do not need to write code. But you do need to be comfortable with wallets, testnets, bridges, and basic DeFi interactions. If you already have a personal history of claiming airdrops or farming yield, you are the perfect fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Airdrop Identification: Monitor sources (Twitter, Discord, Telegram, newsletters, forums) for potential airdrop opportunities — new L1/L2 networks, DeFi protocols, NFT projects, and infrastructure tools.
- Testnet Participation: Join testnets, complete tasks (transactions, swaps, liquidity provision, governance voting), and document requirements for potential mainnet token rewards.
- Yield Strategy Tracking: Keep a watchlist of highyield opportunities across lending protocols (Aave, Compound), liquid staking (Lido, Rocket Pool), DEX liquidity pools (Uniswap, Curve), and restaking (EigenLayer, Karak).
- StepbyStep Documentation: Write clear, beginnerfriendly guides for each campaign — How to interact with Protocol X on Testnet Y — so other team members can replicate your actions.
- Wallet & Gas Management: Manage multiple wallets for farming, track gas costs, and ensure profitable net returns. Report on cost vs. expected value.
- Risk Awareness: Identify obvious scams, honeypots, and protocols with malicious intent. Keep internal risk register updated.
- Results Tracking: Log all claimed airdrops, yield earned, and associated costs (gas, bridging, fees). Provide weekly summaries to operations and treasury teams.
Who You Are
- A Proven Airdrop Participant: You have personally claimed at least 2 major airdrops (e.g., Arbitrum, Optimism, Aptos, Starknet, EigenLayer, zkSync, or similar). Please list them in your application.
- A Yield Seeker: You have used DeFi protocols to earn yield on your own crypto — staking, lending, providing liquidity, or restaking. You understand APY vs. APR, impermanent loss, and slashing risks.
- Organized & Methodical: You can manage 10+ wallets, track transactions in a spreadsheet, and follow structured test plans without getting confused.
- Comfortable with Bridges & Multiple Chains: You have bridged funds between Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Solana, or other networks. You understand gas fees and transaction delays.
- Naturally Curious & Skeptical: You enjoy exploring new projects but do not fall for obvious scams. You verify contract addresses and check project legitimacy before connecting wallets.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of personal crypto experience with active participation in testnets or airdrop farming.
- Demonstrated ability to write simple guides or document processes (can be a personal blog, Notion page, or even detailed Discord notes).
- Familiarity with block explorers (Etherscan, Arbiscan, etc.) to verify transactions.
- Basic spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets or Excel) for tracking costs and rewards.
- Fluent English (written) — you will produce documentation for internal use.
- No professional experience required, but any background in QA, research, or community management is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience with automated tools (e.g., scripts for repeating interactions) — not required but helpful.
- Understanding of wallet fingerprinting and antisybil measures.
- Active on Crypto Twitter or DeFi Discord communities.
- Small personal portfolio that you actively farm with.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Base Salary: $46,000 – $66,000, commensurate with experience.
- Performance Bonus: Bonus based on successful airdrop claims and yield optimization results.
- Gas & Tool Budget: Monthly allowance for transaction fees and premium tools (e.g., Dune, Nansen, AlphaGrowth).
