Job Summary
You will install, service, and maintain air-conditioning systems, troubleshoot and repair units, perform chemical cleaning and overhaul, and ensure compliance with safety standards while maintaining service records and liaising with customers and site staff.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain air-conditioning systems including split units, FCU, and condenser units to ensure optimal operation
- Troubleshoot and repair air-conditioning units promptly to minimize downtime
- Perform chemical cleaning and chemical overhaul independently to maintain system efficiency
- Check and top up refrigerant gas as needed to ensure proper cooling performance
- Inspect compressors, fan motors, piping, and drainage systems to identify and resolve issues
- Respond to service calls and breakdown issues promptly to restore functionality
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to schedule to prevent system failures
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Maintain accurate service records and reports for tracking and accountability
- Communicate service updates effectively with customers, site staff, and management
- Support ad-hoc maintenance tasks assigned by supervisors to meet operational needs
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- NITEC / Higher NITEC or relevant technical certification preferred
- Knowledge of split units, VRV/VRF systems, and FCU servicing preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience depending on seniority
- Possess Class 3 driving licence if performing field servicing
- Willingness to work weekends and overtime when required
- Responsible and able to work independently
