Job Summary
The Air Export Operations Officer manages air freight export shipments from booking to departure, ensuring accurate documentation, timely coordination with airlines and agents, and compliance with export and aviation regulations. The role supports smooth cargo movement while maintaining high service standards for customers.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all shipments HAWB/MAWB are executed on time and acurately
- Monitor FWB/FHL transmission prior to terminal transfer
- Adhere to customers SOP and requirements
- Ensure compliance with airline, IATA, customers and company regulations
- Maintain good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor cargo cut-off time, flight schedules and shipment status
- Process billing/costing timely and accurately
- Liaise with accounts department on costing and billing disputes
- Support invoicing and cost control processes
- Review permit reports and ensure all shipments are properly declared to comply with regulatory requirements
- Submit documentation for permit declarations accurately and timely to avoid shipment delays
- Comply with AED requirements and maintain basic knowledge of customs export regulations to support export compliance
- Update shipment uplifting timing in reports and systems to track cargo movements precisely
- Communicate shipment status updates to internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency
- Perform any adhoc duties assigned by the Supervisor or Manager to support team objectives
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in freight forwarding or logistics industry
- Proficiency with CargoWise One system to improve operational efficiency
- Willingness and ability to perform shift work and overtime on weekends to meet business needs
