The Aircon Supervisor is responsible for managing and directing the air conditioning team's activities, ensuring that tasks are efficiently assigned, progress is closely monitored, and all work is completed to the highest standards. This role emphasizes safety, quality control, and timely service delivery. The Aircon Supervisor is pivotal in leading the team to ensure that air conditioning installation, maintenance, and repair activities are executed professionally and within established timelines.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    Team Supervision: Manage and direct the air conditioning team to ensure tasks are efficiently assigned and completed to high standards.
  • Installation & Repair: Oversee the installation and maintenance of air conditioning systems, ensuring all work is done correctly and on time.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with Service Engineers and Project Managers to ensure installations and repairs meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Troubleshooting & Inspections: Inspect systems and troubleshoot issues to maintain peak system performance.
  • Maintenance Scheduling: Develop and implement schedules for regular maintenance to enhance system longevity and efficiency.
  • Procurement: Source and procure replacement parts and equipment necessary for ongoing system maintenance and repairs.
  • Training & Supervision: Provide guidance and training to technicians and apprentices, ensuring safety compliance and the application of industry best practices.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the management of inventory and supplies, ordering new materials as required.
  • Customer Service: Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by delivering quality service that meets customer expectations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in the air conditioning or HVAC industry.
  • Educational Background: NITEC or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of HVAC systems, including design, installation, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, and gas regulations related to HVAC systems.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership qualities to effectively manage and motivate a team of technicians.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills for coordinating with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
