Job Summary

1. Strategic AI Architecture & Solutioning

• Design Future-State Architectures: Develop cutting-edge, secure-by-design architectures that address the intersection of AI and cybersecurity across critical sectors (e.g., Critical Infrastructure, BFSI, Government, Defense, and IT/ITeS).
• Secure the AI Pipeline: Architect solutions that protect the entire AI lifecycle-covering AI Security Posture Management (AISPM), runtime LLM protection, data privacy/poisoning mitigation, and model supply chain security.
• AI for Cyber Defense: Capitalize on Palo Alto Networks platform capabilities (Strata, Prisma, Cortex) to design industry-specific, automated defense mechanisms leveraging machine learning and behavioral analytics.

2. Industry Cross-Functional Engagement Model

Because this is a lean, specialized team, your success relies on your ability to influence the broader organization. You will operate according to a structured engagement matrix:

Channel JAPAC-specific industry requirements and emerging AI threat vectors back into the product roadmap.

3. Deal Influence & Value Engineering

• Accelerate Mega-Deals: Partner with account teams on high-value pursuits ($10M+) to position Palo Alto Networks as the sole partner capable of securing the customer's digital and AI transformation.
• Proof of Value (PoV): Create innovative, repeatable prototypes, demos, and architectural sandboxes that contextualize AI risks and defense strategies for industry executives (CISO, CIO, Chief AI Officer).

4. Thought Leadership & Credibility Artifacts

• Publish Blueprints: Author authoritative white papers, reference architectures, and Industry AI Threat Profiles that establish Palo Alto Networks as the definitive expert.
• Market Evangelism: Represent Palo Alto Networks at major regional industry forums, executive roundtables, and advisory boards across JAPAC.

Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• AI/ML Deep Dive: Strong foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), neural networks, and MLOps frameworks.
• Cybersecurity Native: Deep familiarity with Zero Trust principles, cloud security (CNAPP), data security, and SecOps/SOC automation.
• Security for AI / AI for Security: Proven track record working with AI security frameworks (e.g., OWASP Top 10 for LLMs, NIST AI Risk Management Framework, MITRE ATLAS).

Domain & Soft Skills

• Industry Vertical Acumen: Experience building technical solutions tailored to at least two key sectors: Critical Infrastructure (OT/ICS systems), BFSI (highly regulated compliance environments), or Public Sector/Defense.
• Influence Without Authority: Exceptional ability to navigate a matrixed global organization, gaining buy-in from local account teams and regional leadership alike.
• Executive Communication: Ability to demystify complex AI architectures into compelling value propositions for C-level executives.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, Google/AWS/Azure AI/ML Specialties) are highly desirable.

What Success Looks Like (KPIs)

• Deal Influence Metrics: Measurable pipeline acceleration and win-rate optimization on large-scale, industry-designated transformational deals.
• Artifact Adoption: Delivery of at least three foundational, repeatable AI Reference Architectures adopted by the broader JAPAC SE ecosystem within the first 12 months.
• Executive Mindshare: Successful execution of targeted C-level briefings that position our industry solutions team as a trusted advisor to JAPAC's largest enterprises.
