We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative AI Architect to join our team in building impactful, next-generation AI solutions in healthcare. In this role, you will lead the design, development and productization of advanced multi-modal AI models and end-to-end agentic workflows. You will work at the intersection of clinical data and cutting-edge artificial intelligence, directly contributing to innovations in medical imaging, genetics, and clinical operations
Responsibilities
- Design and build end-to-end agentic AI systems and orchestration engines tailored for healthcare applications to enhance clinical workflows.
- Lead development, deployment, and lifecycle management of Large Language Models (LLMs), Vision-Language Models (VLMs), and multi-modal AI models, optimizing for performance, efficiency, and enterprise scalability.
- Apply expertise in Medical Imaging AI and genetics to solve complex clinical challenges and improve patient care workflows.
- Architect data pipelines and backend systems using healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, OMOP, and ICD coding to ensure seamless data integration.
- Manage and optimize enterprise-grade databases, specifically SAP HANA and PostgreSQL, to enable efficient data retrieval and system interoperability.
- Collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, and healthcare administrators to translate medical needs into technical requirements, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Identify and resolve scalability and performance bottlenecks in compute-intensive healthcare AI environments.
- Communicate complex AI concepts clearly to both technical teams and non-technical medical stakeholders to facilitate understanding and adoption.
Required competencies and certifications
- Proven experience developing agentic AI systems, LLMs, and VLMs from research through production deployment.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and standardized healthcare data models including FHIR, OMOP Common Data Model, and ICD-10/11.
- Proficiency in database architecture and querying with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL and SAP HANA.
- Expertise in Python programming and AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, and LlamaIndex.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in fast-paced innovation environments with a positive and team-oriented attitude.
- Experience addressing scalability and performance challenges in high-stakes healthcare AI systems.
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex AI concepts to diverse audiences.
