AI Software Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced AI Software Engineer. This position reports directly to the Chief Technical Officer of Naval Group Far East Pte Ltd, and is part of the R&D Centre of Excellence (CoE). Within this Research and Development department, you will contribute or lead R&D work packages within the CoE portfolio. Your scope of activities will include the following projects:

Key Responsibilities:

. Multi-agent simulation platform

The CoE is currently jointly developing and maintaining the core of multi-agent simulation platform (LOTUSim), in cooperation with other entities of the Naval Group. As the simulation product lead within the CoE, focused on robotics and software development, you may contribute to modelling the physics part of the simulator. After gaining sufficient knowledge of the simulation platform, you may also drive further developments and/or configure parameters for each model, introducing new features and improvements.

. Technical follow-up of collaborative research projects

The CoE portfolio includes projects for which Naval Group has established research cooperative agreements with local academic partners or research labs (NTU, NUS, CNRS@Create, etc). These projects are led by a R&D Work Package Manager in Naval Group SA in France. Nevertheless, you may act as a technical liaison between the local partners and Naval Group SA R&D core team, participating locally to project reviews, helping to resolve issues, avoiding misunderstanding between parties, and ensuring close technical follow-up of local R&D activities. You will contribute to final R&D outcomes and deliverables.

Requirements:

Based on on-going projects, the following skills will be appreciated:

. Proficiency in C/C++/C#, and experience with gRPC and protobuf

. Experience with robotics simulation frameworks such as ROS2/Gazebo

. Good knowledge of physics simulators and fluid dynamics

. Knowledge of path planning algorithms (such as A., D., etc)

. Experience in ML/DRL implementations

. Software developments knowledge about REST API and frontend frameworks.

. Proficient in Python/Docker/SQL
