Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AI Security & Governance Lead to establish and operationalise the organisation's approach to securing AI systems and governing their responsible use. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, technology risk, and AI innovation, and will be responsible for designing frameworks, embedding security-by-design principles into AI platforms, and ensuring robust oversight of AI-related risks across the enterprise.

The successful candidate will work closely with AI/ML engineering, cybersecurity, data governance, and risk teams to ensure that AI capabilities are deployed in a secure, compliant, and trustworthy manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide AI governance frameworks, covering model lifecycle, risk classification, accountability, and oversight.
  • Define policies and standards for responsible AI use, including fairness, explainability, transparency, and data protection.
  • Align frameworks with industry standards such as NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 23894, and internal risk governance models.
  • Embed security-by-design principles into AI platforms and machine learning pipelines.
  • Define and implement controls across: Model security (e.g. model integrity, adversarial robustness), Data security (training data protection, data lineage), Identity and access controls for AI system, API and integration security for AI services
  • Provide architectural guidance for secure deployment of AI/ML solutions in cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Establish processes for model validation, testing, and continuous assurance.
  • Define and lead response protocols for AI-related incidents, including model misuse, data leakage, and adversarial attacks.
  • Maintain AI risk registers and ensure effective escalation and remediation of identified risks.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, or security architecture, with exposure to AI/ML environments.
  • Proven experience designing or implementing governance frameworks or security controls in complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (e.g. financial services, public sector) is highly preferred.
