AI Product Engineer
We are looking for a versatile, business-focused AI Product Engineer to run AI projects from conception to implementation. In this role, you will bridge user needs, AI capabilities, and underlying infrastructure through collaboration with teams in Digital. You will be responsible for identifying high-impact AI use cases, designing rapid Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and rigorously evaluating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products against in-house builds.
In This Role, You Will
- Problem Discovery, Risk & Strategy
- Identify Opportunities: Collaborate with R&D and Corporate stakeholders to pinpoint friction points and user problems that can be solved using AI, GenAI, and LLM
- Define Success: Establish clear Objectives and Key Areas (OKRs) and measurable metrics.
- Assess AI Risk: Proactively evaluate risks, data compliance and governance matters related to AI adoption
- Rapid Prototyping & COTS Product Evaluation
- Build Prototypes: Develop and deploy lightweight, functional AI prototypes using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or low-code/no-code AI orchestration platforms.
- Market Research: Scout and assess third-party Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) AI software and products for adoption.
- Proof of Concepts for COTS: Work with respective teams to conduct the product evaluation, establish clear OKR, and proof of concepts to evaluate the effectiveness of the products.
- Scaling to AI Products
- Product Roadmaps: For successful PoCs, define the financial and technical requirements needed to transition the prototype into a production-ready software product.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software engineers, data engineers, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth integration and AI products and adoption by the end users.
- Feedback Loops: Set up monitoring dashboards to track user feedback to iterate on the AI product post-launch.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science
- Experience: 5+ years of experience working as a Product Manager, Engagement Engineer, Technical Product Manager, or Full- Stack Engineer with focus on AI deployment.
- AI Technical Literacy: Strong proficiency with modern AI ecosystems (e.g., OpenAI API, Anthropic, Hugging Face, vector databases, or cloud AI suites like AWS Bedrock/Azure OpenAI).
- Programming: Competency in Python and standard data frameworks for quick prototyping and API integrations.
- Communication: Ability to translate complex AI user requirements into technical requirements and convey to the technical teams.
- AI Technical Literacy: Strong proficiency with modern AI ecosystems (e.g., OpenAI API, Anthropic, Hugging Face, vector databases, or cloud AI suites like AWS Bedrock/Azure OpenAI).
- Programming: Competency in Python and standard data frameworks for quick prototyping and API integrations.
