Role Overview
As an AI/ML Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying advanced AI solutions that address complex business challenges. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to apply cutting-edge AI/ML techniques that enhance product capabilities, optimize operations, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Your work will directly contribute to strategic priorities by driving innovation and technical excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly scalable AI/ML solutions to solve real-world business problems, leveraging techniques such as Generative AI, Personalization, Image Recognition, Speech Recognition, Best Next Action, and Time Series Forecasting.
- Own end-to-end model development, including problem definition, data collection, feature engineering, model training, validation, and deployment of production-grade solutions at scale.
- Research and evaluate latest academic research and emerging techniques, testing novel ideas that can unlock new business capabilities or enhance existing solutions.
- Define and execute deployment strategies for enterprise-grade AI solutions on cloud infrastructure, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Drive high-level and detailed technical designs, participate in architecture discussions, and conduct design reviews.
- Ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability across the AI/ML portfolio, including leadership on innovation, testing practices, CI/CD integration, and operational excellence.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering robust engineering and data science practices.
- Actively participate in business and technical forums across the organization, contributing thought leadership and influencing AI/ML strategy.
Requirement:
- PhD or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated research background with a proven track record of high-quality outcomes journal or conference publications and/or patents are highly desirable.
- Extensive hands-on experience building and delivering production-scale AI/ML solutions that perform reliably at enterprise scale.
- Deep expertise in one or more of the following domains: Generative AI, Machine Learning / Deep Learning, Speech Recognition, Multimodal LLMs, Reinforcement Learning, Optimization and Probabilistic Inference, Information Retrieval, Recommendation Systems, Bayesian Inference, Advanced Time Series Forecasting.
- Hands-on Experience with most of the following open-source solutions:
- Orchestrate: Airflow, Kubeflow Pipelines, ML Run
- Container: Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos + Marathon
- Model Serving: Kubeflow KF Serving, TF Serving, Seldon-Core, MLflow
- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch
- Development:
- Programming Skills: Python, Java, Scala, Julia
- IDE: Notebooks, PyCharm, VS Studio
- Machine Learning: TensorFlow, Keras, ScikitLearn, H20.ai, XGBoost, MXNetFeature Store: Hopsworks, Feast, or other purposed built Feature Store
- Model Format: ONNX, PMML
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with a creative mindset and results-driven approach.
