Position Overview
The AI / Machine Learning Engineer will be responsible for the development and implementation of AI-driven solutions and software systems for the company's maritime digital platform. The role involves designing intelligent data processing systems, developing machine learning models, and integrating AI capabilities into the company's SaaS products.
This position requires strong technical expertise in software engineering, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, and will contribute to the development of scalable technology solutions supporting maritime operations and digital services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Development
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning models for predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and operational insights.
- Conduct data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation to ensure model accuracy and performance.
- Deploy machine learning models into production environments and integrate them into the company's software platforms.
- Research and evaluate emerging AI and machine learning technologies to improve product capabilities.
2. Software Engineering & System Development
- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems, APIs, and software modules supporting the company's digital platform.
- Develop scalable and efficient software applications following industry-standard software engineering practices.
- Implement system integration with internal systems, external services, and third-party APIs.
- Maintain proper version control, documentation, and code quality standards.
3. Data Engineering & Analytics
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for processing operational and system data.
- Design and manage data structures and databases required for AI and analytics applications.
- Perform data analysis to support product development and operational decision-making.
4. System Architecture & Deployment
- Contribute to the design of scalable and secure system architecture for AI-enabled SaaS platforms.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of systems in cloud-based environments.
- Monitor system performance and optimize application efficiency and reliability.
5. Technical Collaboration & Product Development
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and business teams to translate operational requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in product design discussions and contribute to the development of AI-powered features and automation tools.
- Provide technical insights for continuous product improvement and system innovation.
6. Technical Documentation
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, and development specifications.
- Ensure proper documentation of system configurations, development processes, and updates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar programming languages.
- Experience in machine learning model development and deployment.
- Experience in software development, API integration, and database management.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks or libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms or distributed systems architecture.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and real-time data processing.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience in SaaS platform development.
- Knowledge or interest in maritime, shipping, or logistics operations.
