Job Description
We are seeking a passionate AI Governance Officer - Associate Director, to join our team and contribute to the strategy, development, and implementation of our AI initiatives. You will play a crucial role in supporting the AI roadmap, AI systems impact assessments, and governance globally across Prudential.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of the group-wide AI strategy, roadmap, and tracking progress of AI initiatives across the region.
- Help ensure the responsible development, deployment, and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems across the organization
AI Impact Assessment:
- Support the conduct of AI impact assessments to identify potential risks with the AI systems.
- Assist in analyzing data and AI model performance to identify areas of improvement.
- Help maintain AI impact assessment results and risk treatment plans.
AI Approval Process:
- Work with stakeholders to support the AI approval process, ensuring that AI systems meet organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in facilitating AI approval committee meetings, ensuring AI systems are properly reviewed and approved.
- Help develop and maintain AI approval process documentation and guidelines.
AI Governance Process Automation:
- Assist in streamlining and automating AI governance processes using workflow management tools and other technologies.
- Help develop and maintain AI governance process documentation and guidelines.
- Collaborate with technology teams to integrate AI governance processes with existing systems and tools.
Ongoing Monitoring and Controls Testing:
- Support ongoing monitoring of AI systems to ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct annual AI systems attestation across Prudential to ensure the AI register is up to date.
- Assist in developing and executing controls testing plans to identify potential risks and weaknesses.
- Collaborate with audit teams to ensure that AI systems are properly audited and reviewed.
Stakeholder Management:
- Work with stakeholders across the organization, including data scientists, engineers, and business leaders, to ensure that AI systems meet business needs and organizational standards.
- Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on Responsible AI and the AI governance processes and requirements.
- Help develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in AI governance.
Other Responsibilities:
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies in AI governance.
- Participate in industry forums and working groups to advance AI governance practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement AI governance policies and procedures.
- Help develop and manage AI governance metrics and reporting to measure the effectiveness of AI governance processes.
- Stay abreast of Prudential's Responsible AI Principles, AI Objectives, and AI Management System.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data science and/or machine learning concepts.
- Awareness of ethical considerations and potential risks associated with AI.
- Familiarity with AI regulations and compliance requirements.
- Project management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in law, public policy, ethics, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of proven experience in technology, AI, or data protection.
