AI/Full-Stack Intern
We are hiring an intern to help develop an AI-powered educational app that generates personalised worksheets and questions for children based on their proficiency in a given subject or topic. The app uses AI to assess a child's responses, estimate their proficiency level, and adapt future questions and worksheets accordingly.
We welcome interns from local universities who are in the AI tech space. Candidates should be available for a minimum commitment of 3 months.
Responsibilities
- Develop features for an AI-powered educational app that generates adaptive worksheets and questions
- Integrate LLM APIs for content generation, grading, and proficiency assessment
- Design and refine prompts to improve content quality, difficulty control, and response evaluation
- Build APIs to support worksheet generation, answer submission, grading, and proficiency tracking
- Contribute to both frontend and backend development of the application
- Support deployment and maintenance on cloud platforms
- Conduct topic research and gather relevant educational content to build domain knowledge for worksheet generation
- Collaborate with educators through meetings and feedback sessions to align the app with real teaching and learning needs
Requirements
- Experience with LLM APIs
- Knowledge of prompt engineering
- Experience building APIs
- Frontend and backend development experience
- Experience with cloud deployment (e.g. AWS, Docker, Google Cloud)
Preferred
- Interest in AI/LLM applications in education
- Experience with React, FastAPI, Flask, or Node.js
- Familiarity with adaptive learning, automated grading, or personalised learning systems
Note: After completing the main project, you may also have the opportunity to contribute to additional ongoing projects, including a speech-to-speech communication app, giving you broader hands-on experience in AI application development.
